The white counter is where I do “Clean” work. The black steel table is for dirty work like engine work, cutting, hammering and welding. To the right of the red vice is my lathe. The gray table if for working on bikes. I use a ramp to get the bike up there....

When I need to make a different fork spring spacer I use PVC pipe because it’s inexpensive, easy to get, easy to cut, not effected by oil and is much stronger than it needs to be. This picture shows a PVC spacer next to some stock plastic, aluminum and steel spacers....
