Be Prepared
Cookie has fresh clutch plates and a new clutch cover gasket. I have just one weekend to improve on my Willow PB of 1.24.5 from 22 years ago and I don’t want to miss it because I did not put in the work to be ready. The aluminum tube next to the front wheel will be part of the new M4 exhaust bracket.

No Shock
Back to work on Cookie. Her shock is out for LE valving and a spring for my weight. Note the Ti nuts holding the sprocket. We will be ready for the Superbike Showdown Oct 4th & 5th.

Because of your Excellent services…i cant decide which one to ride! Thanks Ed! and Lindemann Engineering.
Grams!
If you have wondered how I can beat up on many of the RS 660’s with my stock engine ’17 SV650. Part of the answer is my 42 years of racing. Another part is my obsession with lightening my bike. This is the aluminum seat lock tab I made to replace the stock steel tab. A few grams less to speed up, to slow down and to flick. Plus, when my Tuner does his best, my Rider does his best.
Nice Shox
Sometimes you open the box and are pleasantly surprised. This Fox Shox is from a ’92 TZ250 and the good condition it’s in proves I should not be surprised that it’s owner boxed it so well.

Chocolate Chips
Yes, even that short 6x1mm bolt holding the oil cooler bracket to the engine has been replaced with Ti. If your Cookie is a race bike, the chocolate chips are made of Ti.
Keeping Parts Alive
One of the many cool things about racing an old bike is that friends send you their left over parts. This super light rear rotor is from Kim Nakashima of The Pineapple Mafia. Kim says it was from James Randolph or Dave Stanton. It’s going on Cookie next. Thank you very much.
Cookie Up-Dates
Why yes! Cookie’s aluminum tank is held in place with Ti Bolts and Carbon Fiber Washers.
Cookie gets a new used air box and new new foam to seal it to the frame.
GSXR tank hinge pins like to fall out when you remove the tank so I cut a grove for an O-Ring to hold it in place.

Number 50
When you see my number on a bike you can be sure I’ll be racing it soon. Two months till The Willow Spring Superbike Showdown.
