She is put away ready for Sunday. Today in race one of three I set a new PB of 1.58.17 on lap 5 of the 12 lap Twins GT race while having a race long battle with two other bikes. A R7 and a RS660.

The field was much deeper in all my races this time so no podiums but I rode fast. In fact my front tires now only last 6 days and my rears are down to two days. But that’s one day each at Willow and Buttonwillow with 3 races each day + practice and Q. I’m out of rears so tomorrow will be day three on this rear with a new front.

Time for a 57!

Willow AHRMA, 5 Races = 5 Podiums. PB lap of 1.31.65 in the last race. Sound of Thunder 3, 1st x 2. Sound of Thunder 2, 2nd. Sound of Thunder 1, 3rd x 2. Also raced Bruce Lind’s ’78 TZ750 in Open 2 Stroke, that is a wicked bike!

To start the AHRMA Willow weekend, I received last years Western Region Sound of Thunder 3 Championship Plate and Second in Sound of Thunder 2 as well. 2017 SV650, M4 pipe, Factory Pro V Stacks & Map. Stock engine on pump gas. LE OEM damper rod forks & Penske Shock. Stock wheels & brakes. 62 year old rider.

This pristine Aprilia RS 250 Cup Bike is ready to go back to it’s owner. I first rode one of these on the Monday (maybe Tuesday) after the 1998 AMA Vegas weekend. Did you notice all my number one plates???

Farther and Son in T-11 at Laguna on Lindemann Engineering suspension. Life is good.
