Part of a Lindemann Engineering Race Bike Build
As your crashed bike slides along the track, you don’t want the front tire to touch the ground and flip the bike. This is why we reduce the steering lock. This is one of many ways to do it. Reduced steering lock is part of every LE race build.
The TTR is Ready To Race
I did a little testing of the TTR125LE and decided to make the fork springs stronger and the rebound damping faster. Then I went after the linkage as you saw in an earlier post. Next I changed the timer mount and made a quick turn throttle using the stock parts. This Saturday is a Track Day and a 2 Hour at Apple Valley Raceway with M1GP.
R3 Build Post #3
Woodcraft stuff and a service manual. You can’t race a bike without a service manual.
When It Has To Be, Just Right.
This is the shift linkage on my TTR125LE. The front heim joint had too much play, the shift lever moved too much on it’s pivot and the arm angles were wrong because the adjuster rod was too long. So I shimmed the shift lever. Then I replaced the front heim with one that has a threaded rod that fits the stock rear heim and fixed two problems in one step. When you want to do all your laps on the same hundredth of a second, everything need to be just right.
Lindemann Engineering is building race bike to order. This is the kind of attention to detail you can expect.
Blue Mini Project #2
The blown up engine is out.
R3 Build Post #2
I’ve order a bunch of stuff, some of it will take a while to get here. I removed the body work so I can see the whole job. Notice that I installed the LE radiator guard right away. Might as well keep the new radiator nice. Stay tuned…

Only Two Made
I’m told there are only two of these bikes in the world. I re-valved the forks and shock. Received this message from a track today: “Incredible. I’ve never gone this fast and felt totally in control.”
TTR125LE Stage One is Ready
The first race is a 2 Hour with M1GP on May 1st. The forks and shock have been valved and sprung. The wheels have been trued and balanced with road tires. All the bearings have been cleaned and greased. The shift linkage has been cleaned, greased and shimmed. The chain has been cleaned and lubed. You get the idea. Stage Two will included weight reduction like an aluminum rear sprocket and power improvements like a pipe and jetting. Stay Tuned…
