This is the OEM clutch in Cookie. For those of you who don’t know, Cookie is an ’09 GSXR1000 Superbike. She is mostly blue and her full name is “Cookie as in Monster.” As you can see, this is a slipper clutch. I race motorcycles because they are challenging. Therefor I don’t use a quick shifter, auto blip, ABS, traction control, launch control, wheelie control or any other rider aids. When I want the clutch to slip on the backshift, I use the clutch lever. I have disabled the slipper function of this clutch. This April, Cookie and I will be at Buttonwillow with American Federation of Motorcyclists (AFM) and Willow with AHRMA (American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association). Our combined age will be 80 years.
